At a first glance this casino game somehow reminded me of Sword and Sorcery board game. Heroes’ Gathering has a pretty standard playing grid set with 5 reels, 3 rows and 20 fixed betting lines. The board game plays an essential role in this slot, and is in fact the main feature of the game.
Heroes’ Gathering Board Game Features
When 3 scatter symbols lands on the reels, the Board Game Feature will activate. In this bonus rounds, the Fortune Wheel symbol will be added to the playing. Once the Fortune Wheel symbol land on the reels, the wheel will spin to determine the amount of steps of the pawn. There are 3 different Amulets available on the left side of the game that will activate once the pawn lands on the respective symbol. There are empty steps with no rewards available on the board, but there is also a mystery step which can trigger a win multiplier.
There is a second Board Game Feature from which players can benefit from. This feature is triggered with 2 scatter bonus symbols. When the Fortune will is activated, the pawn will move to the number of steps determined on the wheel. Once he lands on a specific step, the ther symbols will change to the same symbol across he board and leave one Amulet on the left side. In addition, there si a win multiplier on each corner of the board, that can trigger great rewards.

Initially I was very intrigued by the game, as I am quite passionate for board games, but somehow I did not get so engaged with the game. I found myself comparing this video slot with Jumanji™ powered by Netent. Of course both games have their highs and lows and I guess it all boils down to one’s personal liking. The theoretical payout percentage (RTP) is set to 96.45% which is pretty good.
